Wan Chai / 灣仔

Today my friend Evelyn took me to the 25th Book Fair at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition centre in Wan Chai. The Book Fair takes place annually (usually in mid July) and attracts up to 20 million people. At the book fair you can almost find any book and magazines as it offers a wide range of genres. After the Book Fair I decide to go on an adventure on my own, well kind of. I spent around an hour looking for the MTR (railway) station and on the way I saw lots of skyscrapers and beautiful buildings. Since there were lots of people going in and out of the Book Fair, I had to take a long walk around Wan Chai in order to find the MTR station since roads were closed for the Book Fair.  Can I say that I spent pretty much the whole day walking and I didn't have any food. I didn't how I survived but I did. I live around a hour from Central so I was absolutely exhausted by the time I got home. Anyway here are some of the photos I took during my adventure.

Special thanks to Evelyn for taking me to the Book Fair!

  1. It definitely is difficult trying to find the MTR station especially when the roads are going the opposite way!! I miss being in HK! Looks like you had a lot of fun. Wan Chai for the exchange students was all about the wednesday ladies night haha :P

  2. I wish I was in HK for this! Man, Vancouver needs to have massive/awesome book fairs.
